Are your teachers and students prepared for state testing?

Teachers, academic coaches and administrators will learn how to give students every opportunity to achieve their highest potential at this 6 hour workshop. Learn what to do, when to do it and which areas of instruction to focus on between now and testing!

Anita Lightcap will lead teams through the process of examining their prior test scores along with subject and grade level state standards, then review their lessons plans and/or pacing guides to ensure that each tested standard will be taught prior to state testing.

 

Ms. Lightcap will provide follow-up assistance to participants as needed, and/or OSAC will arrange for her to work on-site with teachers as requested.

Those attending should bring a laptop and their prior year's test scores on a thumb drive.

Presenter: 

Anita Lightcap has over 30 years experience in education, including teaching elementary, secondary ESL, Reading Recovery, and Spanish. She retired as Executive Director of Elementary Education, working extensively with teachers on aligning curriculum and pacing guides to the Oklahoma State Standards.

Purpose:

To help teachers and districts improve test scores by comparing scores to state standards to ensure that each standard is met.

Cost:

$100.00 for OSAC members

$150.00 for non-members

Cancellation Policy:

Since meals, presenters, training materials, and other costs are pre-paid by OSAC, please provide notice of cancellation at least 4 days prior to any OSAC event you are registered to attend. Your district will not be charged for cancellations made within 4 days of the event. Cancellations within 48 hours of an OSAC event will be charged at half price. No-shows will be charged at full price. Thank you for understanding!
