Who we are
The Oklahoma Schools Advisory Council ("OSAC," "the Council," "we," "us") provides training and professional development to the staff of Oklahoma public schools through workshops, trainings, meetings, and conferences.

This policy explains what we collect through osac.us, why, and what choices you have. It applies to this website and to registrations and memberships handled through it.
Information we collect
Event registrations. Your name, job title, school district or organization, email address, and phone number. Registrations are frequently submitted on someone else's behalf by a district administrator or secretary. If you register colleagues, please make sure they know their information is being given to us.
Membership. Contact and billing details for the member district or individual, and the names and roles of designated contacts.
Payments. Billing details and payment card information, handled by our payment processor. We do not store complete card numbers on our own systems.
Mailing list. Your email address, if you sign up.
Feedback. Whatever you choose to share, including your name and district if you provide them.
Attendance and credit records. Whether you attended a session you registered for. Some of our trainings require attendance on multiple dates to earn credit, and some no-cost sessions carry a fee for registering without attending, so we keep attendance records for those purposes.
Automatically collected. Your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and the site that referred you. Our website is built and hosted on Wix, which collects this information to operate and secure the site.
How we use it
To register you for events; process payments, invoices, and purchase orders; administer membership; maintain attendance and credit records; send you information about upcoming trainings; answer your questions; and plan future programming. We use aggregate figures — how many attended, which topics filled — to decide what to offer next.
Who we share it with
Service providers. Our website host (Wix), our payment processor, and our email tools, each only to provide those services to us.
Your district or employer. Where your district paid for your registration, or needs attendance or completion information for its own recordkeeping.
When required by law. In response to a court order, subpoena, or other lawful request.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Cookies and analytics
Our site uses cookies to function and to help us understand how visitors use it. We use Wix Analytics and Google Analytics, which sets cookies and reports aggregate traffic patterns to us. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them may stop parts of the site, including event registration, from working.
How long we keep it
We retain registration, membership, attendance, and payment records as long as needed to run our programs and to meet our recordkeeping, audit, and tax obligations. Our fiscal year ends June 30, and we generally retain financial and registration records for 3 (three) years. Mailing list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any message, or contact us. To ask us to correct or delete your information, email info@osac.us or call (918) 687-0597. We may need to retain certain records where law or our audit obligations require it. If you ask us to delete registration information for an event you have paid for, we may not be able to complete your registration.
Children
Our website and programs are for adult educators and school staff, not students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, including the security controls provided by our website host and payment processor. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
